Adjusting the belt is pretty much like a chain - except you don't have to do it nearly as often! (I've had to adjust my belt drive maybe twice in 20,000 KM)
It's a little bit too complicated to describe without some pictures. The owner's manual shows you how to adjust the belt, and I think the Clymer's manual does too.
